JinkoSolar Prepares Modules for Acciona’s Cape Town Project

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. announced that it entered into agreements for the supply of PV modules in total amount of 274 MWh with Acciona for its South African JV.

According to the agreement, JinkoSolar will supply Oakleaf Investment Holdings 86 (Proprietary) Ltd. with 94 MWh of high-efficiency solar modules starting from November through September 2014, for a solar farm located in Northern Cape. The solar farm, once completed, will be one of the three largest solar farms on the African continent. The project will use approximately 319,600 high-efficiency JinkoSolar PV modules and will produce approximately 206 GWh per year, avoiding the emission of around 198,000 metric tons of CO2 in coal-fired power stations.

In addition, JinkoSolar will also supply 24.07 MWh of high-efficiency solar modules starting from October through December for the Royalla PV Plant located in the ACT territory of Australia and with 156 MWh PV modules in the future.
