DBSA Approves $1 Billion Loan Facilities for RE

The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) approved loan facilities amounting to $1 billion to help fund renewable energy projects in South Africa. The financial injection could see 896.5 MW of additional renewable energy capacity which will be aimed at some of the 28 successful preferred bidders from the REIPPP’s first bid round.
