Bids Open for 10 Power Plants in Nigeria

Nigeria will hold a conference for interested buyers for 10 power stations built under the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) in its power sector privatization efforts. Bids must be entered before November 8 with the evaluation of the technical proposals set to take place the following month.

The government said that the power plants will be privatized by June 2014. In August, 386 expressions of interest submitted were approved. CPCS Global is the transaction adviser to the Niger Delta Power Holding Co., operator of the power stations.
