Jacobs Engineering Awarded Contract in Benin

Jacobs EngineeringSA was awarded a contract for the strengthening of electric infrastructure in Benin.This firm, jointly created by the OCP Group and US firm Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., will be responsible for the construction of four PV solar power plants, transmission lines, substations and a dispatching center within the Benin Power Compact.

This four-year project (2018-2022) will help strengthen electricity generation capacity and modernize the country's energy infrastructure.

Delivering this energy program to extend Benin's existing network capacity, Jacobs is working in close collaboration with various ministries and government agencies of Benin and the Beninese Company of Electrical Energy (SBEE) to improve infrastructure reliability and meet future growth needs of the nation
