Kibo Mining signed a co-development agreement with Mozambique’s Termoeléctrica de Benga for a coal-fired power station. Under the terms of the agreement, the two firms will be responsible for the construction and operation of the plant.

The pair will draw on Kibo's experience in East Africa in the development of power plants, as well as its relations with international companies operating in the energy sector, such as General Electric or Sepco III.

The plant will be owned 65% by Kibo and 35% by Termoeléctrica.
