Philadelphia Solar Sees Financial Close for 11 MWp Al Badiya Expansion

After signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Irbid District Electricity Company and Philadelphia Solar for the 11 MWp expansion of Al Badiya Power Generation, we would like to announce the financial close for this project with the project financier the Capital Bank, this project is considered the largest power storage plant in the Middle East and the region, the expected commercial date for the expansion is expected to be in Q4 2018.

This expansion will consist of approximately 34,350 polycrystalline panels (320 Wp each), Philadelphia Solar made a state-of-the-art single axis tracking system (Model: PS-1P-Tracker), and a 12 MWh Lithium Ion energy storage systems.

This event took place in Amman on the 13th May 2018 in the presence Eng. Ahmad Thainat the General Manager of Irbid District Electricity, Mr. Abd Al Rahman Shehadeh CEO of Philadelphia Solar, Eng. Mohammad Shehadeh Sales and Marketing Manager of Philadelphia Solar, Mr. Ala’a Qamseya General Manager of Capital Bank and a number of sector leaders.
