Fortune CP installed solar systems for Royal Bafokeng Nation in South Africa which included solar PV systems and solar water heaters (SWHs).

The first phase of the project involves the installation of solar PV systems (electricity generation to power lights and appliances) and solar hot water systems (geysers) for 50 houses located in Phokeng. The off-grid PV systems used 320W Fortune CP (UK) polycrystalline solar panels, batteries, charge controllers, inverters, and accessories. Each house is also equipped with a Fortune CP 80-literSWH system.

The project was financed by Fraser Alexander, a wholly owned mining company of Royal Bafokeng Holdings, and all systems were implemented by Fortune’s Johannesburg office. This year Fortune CP will implement similar solar projects (financed by large corporations) for hundreds of houses in Northern Cape, Limpopo, and other provinces in South Africa, as well as locations in Botswana and Mozambique.
