According to Revolta Egypt, the company will look to establish an electric vehicle manufacturing and service center in Egypt.
Ezz El Din Ibrahim, board member and Head of Business Development at Revolta Egypt, told Zawya that Revolta, together with Ukrainian firm Eco Factory, will set up the factory by the end of 2019. The new factory will be located in 6th o October city and will cover 10,000 sq meters.
Egypt has experienced a massive boom in the number of automobiles on its roads over the last two decades, and combined with its booming population over the same period, air quality in its major cities continues to plummet. The North African country has been looking to meet the challenge of cleaning up its air pollution, introducing LNG powered vehicles in the 2000s and moving to introduce electric vehicles later in the current decade.
